A dip in your cool water,
Always gives an escape.
It helps to overpower
The teenage heartache.

Everything is a coaster
It feels like today.
My life is the scariest one,
I think its fair to say.

This giant vein has been filled
By more than just the sky.
Tears are in abundance
When I have said goodbye.

Green is all around me.
The forest filled with trees,
Mighty, powerful, and tall,
With a low ceiling of leaves.

Your water at my ankles,
Your mud between my toes.
I feel you all around me,
And brighter, my heart glows.

Wading through the shallows,
iPod booming loud
Bopping to Bob Seger
Feeling peaceful and proud.

Amazing you are, and
Content I am this day.
But soon reality hits,
And I must go away.

When that day comes -
The day I lose everything,
I will embrace your lesson,
And I shall keep flowing.
