hurried heartbeat
breathless
a missing identity buried deep in my mind
appears
pleas for forgiveness
the words I've desired
unnecessary
to relieve you of the past would bring death to my soul
a twisted mind
a scarred witness
paralyzed by an unworthy appearance
misgiving eyes draw me in
suspicious tears fall from a face forgotten
thoughts unforgiving bring me to reality
a merciless man
a brutal existence, a father rejected
a determined daughter
my feet move fearlessly
with each step you disappear
