~Fall~
Dark corners,
fade into light.
Will I find you there
when time is right?
Beyond the window
is everything
we’re looking at
and falling in.
The glass is half-parted
so I can grasp the breeze
and breathe in changing seasons
to discover what we need.
If this needs time,
I’ll give it time.
I’ll stop the second hand from ticking
until I return to your mind.
It’s a swirling blur of color,
around the clock on the wall,
and the half-parted window
awaits a new fall.
Fall like a season,
fall like a dive.
Fall into your fading light
and the steady slip of time.
Fall more with every day.
Fall toward what I knew.
The truth lives in every window—
I fall only to you.
