The Dark Night

It was cold, the darkness consumed everything.
The trees stood lifeless.
She was driving to fast to see the black sheet of ice.
Seconds past, her head hit the steering wheel.
Cold water rushed around her body.
The faint voices spoke "I'm sorry, are you ok?"
She couldn't respond.
Now she too, was lifeless.
