Notes you would never read

By , Bailey, TX
Writing you notes that you would never read,
And so my wrists would bleed.
Crumbling the notes
As the shirt I wore got soaked
Soaked with blood as I spoke
The words of true love
While I wanted to hug,
You wanted to shove
Lying to myself
Saying that love was everywhere
When there was no love
My heavy head
Grows heavier with each pill until I’m dead
The light fades
Every face I see is yours
In every hand,
A blade
But in your hand
You hold an Ace of Spades
Writing you notes that you would never read,
And so my wrists would bleed.
I used to plead
But now I just bleed
Writing you notes that you would never read,
And so my wrists would bleed.
But just know that I loved you,
Even if you never loved me.
