Dressed in black
Stuck on a stool
In the dim spotlight
He reads his poem
His thoughts,
Feelings,
Hopes,
Dreams,
On display
To be ridiculed
By those who
Don’t understand
How it feels
To really live
In the dark
With their only outlet
Being
Words

smile through everything no matter how bad it gets because it could be worse and if it gets worse well then it can only get better. :)

"Only dead fish swim with the stream"

Every artist feels that way in their lifetime I think. I remember being young and showing my work to others and when they would laugh and tell me I would never work it out...I would never be famous, I would feel like a naked, raw fish out of water at their mercy. Good job with the scene and keep writing because that's the only way to get better :)
