Heartbreak

Beauty in a vase
Turns into dead flowers.
The promises made,
They never last.

I turn into dead flowers
When I lie, cheat, and steal.
They never last,
The images I try to create.

When I lie, cheat, and steal,
I hang useless like an empty frame.
The images I try to create
Break and shatter so quickly.

I hang useless like an empty frame.
My heart was thrown away,
It breaks and shatters so quickly.
Uncertainty lies ahead.

We wrote Pantoums in class where certain lines are supposed to repeat throughout the poem and i actually really like how it turned out.
