The Dream

I dreamt I had a heart of ice
No summer heat could make me nice
So sickly stable in my hate
No worried outcome of my fate
Drowning down deep in a lonely abyss
Not concerned with the things I’d miss
In bed id pray for dreamless nights
I`d stay awake and turn on the lights
For fear of my subconscious mind
And all the secrets it would find

Every night my dreams would succeed
At seeing the person I could be
So now I only speak sweetly
And view the world in new eyes
All because, I dreamt I had a heart of ice
