I used to be closed,
But I'm starting to open.

Because you're hear -
My heart has spoken.

It's told you
What I think and feel;

My perceptions
Of what is real.

But what is this?
When you are near

You make me calm
And kill my tears.

And so I thank you
For being there -

You're always willing
To help and care.

This was inspired by one of my best friends: he really is one of the greatest people I know because he is just always there if you need someone to talk to or if you just need someone to listen when others won't. He has helped me through so much and I would really hate to lose his friendship - it just means a lot to me.
