By Jonathan B.,

   The tides that sway a rhythm known

A beat unheard, profoundly felt.

The life it holds ... its tune, its verse,

Whose clearest tones arise from deep.

The shores where tides display their might

On lands here set, there thrust, ofttimes

Quite cruel. Compelling force perceived

By mainland home and those afar.

Prismatic hues in shallows, deep alike

Lend tint to faces turned by tides.

The meek and strong abide as one;

They shift and change as tides pass by.

The tides of seas, of life itself,

Is verse so strong, compelling all.

As common language live on earth,

The tides do move a rhythm bold.
