The truth.
Sometimes it's hard to take,
But always the best way.
Lies get you farther for a while,
But when you find out the truth,
Everything shatters.
The truth from a best friend is hard,
But it's good to have.
For your friend to just tell you something,
Straight out with no padding,
And no lies,
Just straight out truth.
It hurts for a while,
But it helps you get over it faster.
It's always nice when people lie to make you feel good,
But when you find out the truth,
You wish that you had just known from the beginning.
