The White Rose MAG

By Anonymous

In the softness of the morning light

And stillness of the dawn,

The rose's pearly petals sleep

While nothing else goes on.

Among the larkspur of lavender blue

With centers minty green,

The ivory rose lies and waits,

Waiting to be seen.

In the calmness of the air,

The silky petals sit.

There is nothing else in the world.

It is the rose and only it.

Some truths best left unspoken.

Simply heavenly! I wanted to cry. For this was so beautiful. I've read nature poems. I most often find them boring. Even though I love the out doors. This was splended. And I can asure you, I've never read I poem I alround prefer. Not even by Robert frost. And he's my favorite poet.
