By Paula R., Dedham, MA

I find myself beside a wall

With nowhere to turn

And no one to call

Through the dark empty shadows

That I'm hiding behind

There's no one beside me

And nothing to find

In the space that blinds my sight to see

A hand outstretched to comfort me.
