Untitled
By Suzanne H., Newton, MA
I see you
Sitting there beside me,
Talking softly to me.
You seem as clear as day,
More real than anything.
If only
It were really you,
You who never will again
Speak to me
Or be near me.
My wishing
Cannot make it you
Who stands beside me, talking.
For you will never stand
Or sit, or run, or play,
Or talk, or eat, or anything
Ever again.
I will never see you again,
But I will never forget you;
I couldn't.
To me,
You will always be there
At my side
And in my heart.
