He reaches
Groping for hope
Senses it's there
Then watches it pass by
Sinking back into the shadows
He feels
People don't care
A meeting
A morning run
A lunch date
More important than a man's life
Suddenly appears a hand
It pulls him up
Into the bright light of day
He realizes he isn't forgotten
