   You marched into my life

bold

brazen

beautiful.

You took without giving

selfish

savage

seductive.

I gave without thinking

foolish

feverish

fascinated.

I had dreams, but you took those, too

boasting

bitter

brutal.

Then I saw, and pushed you away

shocked

scarred

safe.

Now I look back, and feel only pity

forgetting

forgiving

free.

Take my love, take my land, take me where I cannot stand. I don't care, I'm still free, you can't take the sky from me. Take me out to the black. Tell 'em I ain't coming back. Burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.

Yes, yes, yes!  This is the story of my life.  I'm still trying to push him away, but this inspires me to try again.  Thank you.  This rocks!

"Where to, Miss?"
"To the stars."

I like how you used alliteration in your poem. Great job!
