   The lemon yellow fridge

humming clearly a '50s tune.

The cat, stretched across the

wooden table.

The dryer tumbling inside

itself, this small volcano.

splintered stairs with a stealthy

pat-a-pat of her paws,

moves carefully into the room,

climbing atop

the patchwork stool

and stares thoughtfully at

the music maker

while the glorious Ninth

booms away at the room's glass walls.
