The ends of your hair split like the seams of this love.
We’re tying the loose ends into knots, but it isn’t good enough.
All of the things you said broke my heart.
Like the knees of your old blue jeans, we’re torn apart.
Just look at this foundation that we’ve made,
It’s cracked and decayed.
Yet, it’s so hard for us to give up and walk away.
