Vampires Don't Reflect In Mirrors MAG

By Anonymous

   my mother claims i'm part

vampire,

because

i keep my room so dimly lit

so i don't have to see my reflection

in the mirror.

if i can't see the truth

i can pretend to be anyone,

anything i'm not.

when the lights get turned on

i'm forced

to take a look at myself

sitting home alone on a saturday night

(again)

eating carrot sticks with the

(false)

hope that a thin body will give me the strength

to turn on the lights,

look in the mirror

and not start to

cry.
