Ocean Storm

The shore withstands the roaring waves,
As the wind blows through the mountain caves.
Up against the velvety night,
A sudden flash of brilliant light.
The curtain of shimmering rain
Illuminated, but the darkness quickly regained.
Booming, bellowing thunder crash,
The cacophonous crack a sound so brash.
The breaking branches fall to the ground,
Tree limbs scattered all around!
The storm persists, never fading,
Will it never end and continue unabated?
