The Winter Time

The winter days slowly pass by
Dark and gloomy, cold and gray
The approaching summer keeps hopes high

The wind blowing sounds like a sigh
And the clouds perform as if in a play
The winter days slowly pass by

The sun may show, always quiet and sly
The ground is wet, the bare trees sway
The approaching summer keeps hopes high

The brightness and shine leave the sky
The sunny days seem far away
The winter days slowly pass by

It seems the cold will never say goodbye
Instead it must wait as if by some delay
The approaching summer keeps hopes high
