No matter what happens, control the outcome. It's on you. Always has been. --N.B.D.

I can
See you going away
Breathe out
Screaming the words of the name
Nothing
Is what it used to be
Changing
the time between you and me

You are
what you choose to be
Intolerable
So just let me be me
S T I F L E D
I can't believe your voice
Complaining
about the sound of the noise

Concentration
It’s something now broken
Annoyed
and it's me you’re provoking
I can't get lost in the music when you're--
you're breathing down my neck
It’s something I can't handle
because my creation's getting wrecked

But leave me here for a while
I’ll consider what you said
because I know you'll want my music
when I cry because you're dead

My opinion will change over the years
Just like you did long ago
I’ll turn the volume down
because I’m now playing from the soul

"Turn that crap off!" Yeah, I know.
You've told me a thousand times before,
I wouldn't really listen
I’d just wait to shut the door.

But now I realize,
The intention that you had
It's the feeling that you get from it
Is it good--or is it bad?

So yeah, I think I’ll change my sound
I guess the reasons began to show
Turn off the music please.
Alright,
I know.

The author's comments:
My parents sometimes think that the music i write and play (either on my guitar or stereo) is too hard or heavy. They tell me very often to keep the music down or play something less noisy. It really became an annoyance, but "now i understand."
