We Must Be Men

If cowardice, then I am to blame
If spite and pride, oblivion may claim.
With courage and compassion, there is yet to gain.
But we must be men
We must uphold the vision
Of superiority through masculinity.
And we must be men
Dividing our numbers
For the sake of vanity and irrationality.
If this is the way it must be, then let it be.
A social hierarchy in which only the lucky succeed.
As prejudiced as them, may we be as men.
