An energy quaking in the depths of my soul
So strong, profound, and out of control.
It hungers for something more.
Ravishing my life and all it could store.

My spirit is now pressed thin
Fighting a battle against the conquest of sin
Shaking and trembling beneath the strength
It loses it's hold and begins to quake.

My soul latches on with every ounce of hope
Physically my body begins to stroke.
Light darkens all around me.
A ray of light is all I see.
Leading somewhere I wish I could reach
I've fallen so far beneath the breach

Lifted up towards the heavens then jerked down
I see my body from below the ground.
Fire encases my spirit.
My soul screams out and becomes weary.

In hell my spirit has landed.
An eternity of pain is what has been demanded.
Other souls toil on into the searing heat.
They've lost their hope and are only weak.

Nostalgia envelopes my soul
Remembering everything I've done so cold.
Wishing to rewind I pray for a chance
to make things right and be a true man.

At that instant wings erupt from my back.
I rise above the infernos wrath.
Towards my body I rise fast.
In a second this will all be past.

I shed my wings and drop flight.
My spirit in my body locked tight.
Darkness disperses and light prevails.
Now I must upheld
The promise I made in Hell.
