Weight of the World
A lonesome tree
In the middle of the wood
In the same ol’ spot
Forever it stood
It withstood, storms, thunder and rain
Able to endure all the pain
But as lightning strikes through eternal night
Its leaves wilt, losing the will to fight
The weight of the world
Upon its arms,
No one ever to
Admire its charms
But deep within its heart
Roots endless in might
Its fears unfold,
Restored with light
For what was dark
Now is divine
A single spark
Ignited the shine
A lonesome tree
In the middle of the wood
In the same ol’ spot
Forever it stood
