   Evolution of the Moment

I'm sitting on a cloud,
Watching the rotating
sphere of green and blue below
without me,

seeing through white haze,
camcorder on the window.
reporting the destiny of Earth.

I hear the music playing distantly,
a note a minute.
Time slowing down.

Down the corridor are conversations,
On the roof is the mighty rain.
Across the sky, it's black.

Flashing lights,
Movement stopped.
Awaiting the answer,
without me.
