Being Alone

Being alone feels like you are in a dark hole with nobody around you.

Being alone is depressing and quiet.

Feelings wash over you as you sit with your knees to your head...sad, left out, and quiet.

Being alone smells like the vicious grime crawling around me, waiting to strike when I am not watching.

Being alone smells just like the damp air molding in every corner of this dark room.

Feelings wash over you as you sit with your knees to your head...sad, left out, and quiet.

Being alone tastes like the metallic tast of blood seeping through all of my open wounds.

Being alone tastes as if someone has poured a lemon onto my tongue, stinging.

Feelings wash over you as you sit with your knees to your head...sad, left out, and quiet.

Being alone looks black...dark and dreary.

My eyes cannot adjust to this dim light that is all around me...all that I have see are the dark shadows.

Feelings wash over you as you sit with your knees to your head...sad, left out, and quiet.

Being alone sounds like nothing...or someone crying in the distance.

Being alone sounds of a faucet or a leaking pipe dripping- even this does not keep me company.

Feelings wash over you as you sit with your knees to your head...sad, left out, and quiet.
