Vanquish

The agonizing blaze
Builds beneath my pale flesh
My skin is cold and still
I am frozen
These polar opposites face off
Battling for possession over my fragile body
My hair stands on end underneath the warfare
I feel… bizarre
As if this body is not my own
The struggle continues
Neither side will be victorious
Because I am destroyed
Dust is all that remains
Hostility lingers
Burning on top of my ashes
I am forever changed
A lifeless heap stands alone in the madness
