I'm standing.
I'm standing on the edge of the cliff.
I'm standing on the edge of the cliff staring into the darkness;
Into my future.

I'm waiting.
I'm waiting to take the plunge.
I'm waiting to take the plunge into the darkness.
Into our future.

I'm watching.
I'm watching myself fall.
I'm watching myself fall for you...over the edge of the cliff.
Into the darkness;
Into its future.

I'm listening.
I'm listening to her thoughts.
I'm listening to her thoughts as she stares into the darkness;
Into her future.

I'm watching.
I'm watching her turn around.
I'm watching her turn around and walk away from the darkness;
A bad future

Instead of turning at the fork of the road she went straight.
Straight into the future of hope and light she created.
This child of mine.
My past, my present, and my future.
