Punished Angel
Laced up shoes, her backpack on
Walking out the door
Don’t know what the world upholds
She was never told
Bloody lip,
Both black and blue
Foundation cover the wounds
People ask sworn not to tell
What she was suppose to keep…
Be patient love, I mean no harm.
Holding cut up arms
Spilling blood onto the floor
Pushed out the door
A punished angel caught in this house
Pushing through the pain
A day too late
The time is due
Too much to consume
One life gone
Gather up this time of fate
A little too late.
Laced up shoes, her backpack on
Walking out the door
Don’t know what the world upholds
She was never told
Bloody lip,
Both black and blue
Foundation cover the wounds
People ask sworn not to tell
What she was suppose to keep…
While she dies in her sleep…
