You Slay Me

Hanging over empty space
desperately trying to forget your face
Your voice falls on deaf ears
I'm screaming so loud but nobody hears
My mouth is like cotton and I can't speak
I'm shielding my heart from the havoc you wreak
You're like a serrated knife through my heart
It's like you're trying your best to tear it apart

This is outstanding! The words (and rhyme) rolled off my tongue perfectly.
I love the "serrated knife" part.

O_O... very dramatic. I can relate to this 100%. In the way I read it, it has a beat to it, and I like that beat. Great job! Nice title.
