Sins Don't Just Wash Off
I’m so far from the darkness here,
it has silently stolen my pride,
it has secretly bound me to the night,
but I’m so far from the darkness here,
only it no longer matters the distance,
for its attached itself to me,
I hear it in the backgrounds of my life,
its behind the curtain, its beckoning to me,
its behind the curtain, the curtain of my head,
but I’m so far from the darkness here,
the stars, they shine and mock me,
the laughter, it echoes and points at me,
the smiles, they blind and grimace at me,
I’m just secretly bound to the night,
but I’m so far form the darkness here,
except I’ve only escaped the beginning of it,
now I here it in the backgrounds of my life
its behind the curtain, the curtain of my head
the night lives inside me now, growing and escaping.
