The Gay Number Ten

Did you know
that 10% of the population is gay?
Yeah
I read it in a magazine today
So how can you say
that we are a minority?
in my school
queers gays and d**** band
together and
we make the rules,
don't you dare say
the f-word on our grounds
oh, nuh-uh! we have a posse
that will swirl your head in the bathroom
toilet before you can yell
"hate-crime"
yup.
don't try and tell me that
the body of my best friend
it's worth less than
your five dollar
bible
In my eyes
the most valuable people I know
are the ones you call
'homos', the ones
that are strong enough
and brave enough
to not give up or be afraid to
be true
You say it's not the Lord's path?
Well tell me-
what do you think you're going to do?
Walk around and count to ten
then shoot the one your
pinky lands on?
Is that how you're guna purge
this land of our 'sins'?
You think we're guna stand in order like
that, 1 through 10?
Hell no,
people aren't lined up like the
ten commandments, we're
mingled and mixed and
connected and
intertwined,
we don't stand in a line.
Andrea might be number two and
Fearghus eight,
all out of order, making the "gay number ten" straight,
did you think about that, huh?
Is that what Jesus would do?
well my girlfriend's on my shoulders
calves on my breasts
waving her hands in the air teasing you
cause we threw you off count
(her bare feet are in my cupped palms and you
only saw mine, dirty dusty and tanned
in sandals) and
she's screaming at you sweet obscenities,
she screaming so loud at you that her voice breaks,
she's screaming out loud that we're siamese twins
to the world, that her
beautiful warm thighs were born glued
to my ears and that the doctors tried and
could not separate us at birth, and that
(through her strong legs I can hear her muffled screams cry)
if we're the gay number ten you need to shoot
then we count for the gay number ten together, the two of us
and
you're going to have to shoot us both-
together.
Hah,
it makes no sense
but I'm laughing so hard that tears are rolling off my
cheeks and I'm tickling her toes with my yellow-painted fingernails
as my friends,
all the d**** and queers
all the lesbians and the gay boys
and our transgender peers
come out and surround us,
they join us laughing and smiling.
now I look you right in the eye and say
who's the minority?
I don't see one here.
Only one big majority
my friends
my lover
and me.

I really love this! It shows how blind people can be. Me and my girlfreind just came out, and not alot of people will talk to us. I don't know why people care about someting we can't change.

I don't see why people hate on homosexuals. Even if it IS so bad and wrong, it's not hurting ME, so why should I care? There is NO TIME to be hateful people! There is suffering in the world, and you're not helping by being cruel, even if it is toward people you feel "deserve it".
