Brooklyn Bridge MAG

By Anonymous

Sun upon my head,
Scorching brown locks.
Fatherstriding,
Too fast for little legs.
High above theroadway,
Atop the perpetual roar,
And the steel bluewater,
Churning below.
Running on the planks,
Staying to theright
Of that faded, yellow line.
Miniature and insignificant,
To the brick and mortar giant.
And the titans ofglass,
Eclipsing the brilliant sky,
Reflecting thebridge,
Painting the river wild.
Walking two by two,
To wherethe pathway ends,
Striking the cement pole,
With sweatypalms,
A fulfilling act.
Turning away from the labyrinth,
Andstepping onto the bridge,
Rising once more into the sky,
To soarbeneath the sun,
And look down upon the water.
