Wise
Is a misnomer
I'm more a killer
Than a scholar
My thoughts are not
Long or clever
Rather short and quick
Mouse
Trail
Dive
Scoop
Eat
I do not contemplate
The workings of the universe
Rather where I will find my next meal
I do not engage my fellow
Birds in conversation
We're all simple-minded
Except for our stereotype
But no one likes to speak of him
Because
He's
A
Lie

The author's comments:
It never seemed like owls would be very smart to me, and when my friend gave me the prompt of owls, I just had to jump on my opinion.

I think it's amazingly well written. I love how you're calling the fact that the stereotype of wise is a misnomer. And thanks for all the great comments on my writing!
