Dear Mom and Dad:
I hope to make it home alive
I am not fighting a war I am trying to survive
This war it''s just not right
I can''t even sleep from the gun shots in the night
For this war I have so much despise
Because I seen my best friend die in front of my own eyes
I go to sleep hoping I wake
I don''t know how much more I can take
Before I mentally break
I have nightmares of land mines exploding
I am beginning to think my mind is corroding
I love you and I hope to make to back to the states.
If I don''t you will surely know my fate.
