I met a new boy's parents

And I felt like a traitor.
The mom was older
Grayer
Larger
Less lovely in general.
The dad was different
Awkward
Arrogant
Less pleasant in general.
I missed his parents
Watching TV game shows
On the sofa
And joking with them about their son
Who is now less liked in general.
Generally speaking
I hate him now.
But in general
I don’t reference the word
Hate.
In general one might say
He broke all of our hearts.
