I recommend that you

Keep your composure,

For that's more than I can manage.

And if by some chance

You can stand the exposure,

Perhaps you could stay here, and listen.

For I'm broken and bleeding,

And I fell out of line,

And I can't quite find the truth.

It used to be here,

Inside my mind,

But now it has fallen away.

So I'm searching and spiraling,

And I'm sinking down deeper,

And it's darker and colder down here.

It's true that maybe

I'm not such a keeper,

But I'm lonely and I need a hand.

So I recommend that you

Keep your composure

For that's more than I can manage.

And if by some chance

You can stand the exposure,

Perhaps you could stay here, with me.
