Daddy to the Rescue

I feel my heart-beat slipping,

I'm drowning in the storm,

my sail-boat is sinking,

my worthless sails torn.

But lo! In the darkness,

in quick and hasty flight,

I find that I am not alone,

within this hopeless night.

A father's heart and angry soul,

collide in perfect time.

A heroic God, who sees no bounds,

has linked his heart with mine.

My father holds a steadfast ship,

with many sturdy sails,

and from the ocean lifts me up,

when all I lean on fails.

A sinful child, I may be,

with nothing pure to gain,

but from His throne, descends a God,

my “daddy” once again.

wow this is amazing! I love the last line especially, because for some reason I felt touched as I read it, defintely a success for a poet!! :)
I also think that the ananlogy with the boats, etc. was inspired!!!
