I gaze into the emptiness.
It stares back at me with
such detestation. I shout
back with all my might, filled
with exasperation. It banters me,
nearly into submission Inorder to
fill this void I must use all
my strength as well as my intuition.

I franticly search for something
to conceal the void. But I amunsuccessful in my attmept.
I have become angered beyond belief, boiling with contempt.I
try to conceal the void with various objects. None of them
having any success. The emptiness began to cut through me, piercing
through my chest.

No matter how hard I try, this
void I cannot fill. I begin to
lose all desire, all will. Just
when i believe it is over, really
cannot win. I realize I have been
working backwards, the void must
be filled from within.

The author's comments:
The speaker of this poem deals with a void he cannot fill. No mattter how he makes many attempts to fill the void externally, he is unsuccessful. Because the void is internal, and he must fix it from with in.
