The Clock

The clock ticks on
To a new beginning
A chance at restarting
A new first impression
The clock ticks on
To the endless rhythm
The unlimited flow
Throughout the world we go
The clock ticks on
It’s like a metronome
Timing your every move
One step at a time towards home
The clock ticks on
All day and all night
It will be there in the morning
To refresh your worst fright
The clock ticks on
It will never stop
No matter how hard you try
To reverse all your wrongs
The clock ticks on
Louder than ever before
Steady like a heart beat
The clock ticks on

I love this poem. Like a musical composition; you unite with one theme.
