If Only
If only you could know
The pain which burns within
I swear that I am tearing
A hole that has no end
If only you could know
Drowning sorrow I paddle in
Lord help me from the ocean
That pulls me like quick sand
If only you could know
The promises been broken
A never ending ladder
With no rungs to hold me high
If only you could know
How being lonely feels
Only one trustworthy friend
Who cannot be heard nor seen
But knowing only one thing.
If death comes of misery,
Today, tomorrow, or in a hundred years
I will be with Him.
