To Belong
A garden so green
lush as rain patters down
she has no umbrella
dances so gracefully
through puddles
she fits here
Sheets so white
warm as arms wrap
she knows nothing of tears
caresses so gently
across skin so smooth
she fits here
Sky so blue
expansive beyond imagining
she has no wings
and flies as angels
to higher clouds
she belongs there
A field so green
stones together forever
they have no roof
wind blows gently
in grass above their heads
they belong here
together
forever
