Noticing your eyes roll across your half-empty cup of coffee
Blatantly stating you wanted something more
Your friends aren't good
At keeping you surprised - I'm not very good
At charades anymore.

Watching you sigh and check your cell phone
I'm sorry but a better life
Hasn't called you yet.
