Two Halves Of A Whole

Sitting here
Listening to your voice
On repeat in my head

My wall, my barrier,
That protected me
Is now nowhere to be found

You got what you wanted,
Just someone to fill
The gap in your heart

Too bad you took me for granted
We could have been one
But now we’re two halves of a whole

This is cool. I feel like it could even be a little longer. You could go more into the metaphor of the whole and the halves maybe.
Keep it up!
