Fertile Ground

June 12, 2009

A seed of hope is placed anew,
To welcome dreams that are too few,
So to extend a branch of thoughts,
And grow the root that never rots.

The fertile ground is seen today
To purify those held at bay,
To blanket and secure the lost,
To shelter - no matter the cost.
A sanctuary, at best,
Allowing sleepless men to rest.
