Waiting
Watching
Everyone walks
We take our seats
I hereby grant you
Graduating class of 2009
Everyone cheers
But it’s middle school
Yah, it’s exciting
But when you really
Think
Like good graduates do
It means nothing
I watch everyone
Jump and
Shout and
Cry and
I wonder
Why this girl
Who never talked to me
In all three years here
Is suddenly
Overcome with
The urge to hug me
I watch them crying
Mascara streaming all over
Their thousand dollar dresses
And I laugh
