The Stars Above
Orange and pink shoot across the sky,
I can see it from where I lie,
The sun is setting, going to sleep,
The darkness surronds, black like the ocean deep,
The stars come like twinkling lights,
Like glittering diamonds, oh what a sight!
I lye in the grass and up I stare,
My body goes numb as I forget all my cares,
The hardest thing to do is live,
Live as I live, even with my sins,
The other hardest thing to do is love,
Love as I love the stars above,
Nobody is here to look after me,
Someone to love me is all that I seek,
So I'll wait to find a true love,
And until than, it's just me,
And the stars above.
