Icicles,
my prison's bars,
like butterflies
kept in a jar.
Asphyxiation,
poison kiss,
when all you thought
was hit and miss.
I locked the door,
I tossed the key
telling you the pain
had made a monster out of me
you shook your head,
your smile a frown
I'd never meant
to let you down.
What's done is done
I have to say,
I'm sorry I
got in your way.
It's time to go
I'll say goodbye
don wings of sin,
it's time to fly.

Great job!...I think the rhyming flow of this piece is excellent.
