Rosy Red

I see you sway left to right,
blowing your pollen with the wind.
Bumble bees visit you every day
from spring to summer.

Your colors are bright like a rainbow after a rain storm.
Reds, Blues, Pinks, Purples, Oranges
The smell makes me want to take you.

Smelling of sweet honey.
You make a person with a cold smile with the
feeling of getting better.
Chocolates cards and you go good together.

You need water and sun to grow.
You live in gardens, pots and windows.
You make a room full of color
with your wonderful smells and life.
When your job is done
you tell me it's time to go.

You wilt away to crunchy, mud puddle brown.
Some throw you in the compost
others save you as long as they can,

But others throw you out
in the crunchy frost bitten ground.
In the end you're still the
beautiful rosy cheek flower
that made,
someone feel loved on the 14th of February,
a person with a cold smile with the
feeling of getting better.

Flower, Flower
you bring joy
to life
when your time is
done
we get another one
but you will always
make someone smile.
